Anyone ever had a Brazillian Pepper Violation!
No shit I have a closing being held up down in Florida over a Brazillian Pepper violation.
I thought I had heard it all at this point in my mortgage career. After the borrower that signed on the refinance because his dog had to have her uterus removed I didn't think I could be surprised by anything in this business.

Just wait until you move to Hawaii. Closings will consistantly be held up due to people getting Leid.

Brazilian Peppers are one of the most destructive non-native plants in Florida and one of the top three the state is attempting to eradicate.
Some jurisdictions (notably Sanibel Island) have ordinances going back to the middle 1990s requiring property owners to remove them or face fines and liens.
Brazilian Peppers have to be removed right down to the last root. Chemical treatment or burning the bastards off rarely works.
I suspect you'll have to have a specialist contractor dig up and remove the plants. Think HAZMAT team type work depending on the local ordinance. Once removed, the certification from the contractor should release the hold on the closing.
Amazingly, some jackass nurseries (not in Florida, of course) still sell these things.

It's kinda of like an HOI binder being held up because of moss on the roof.

Bureaucrats have jobs.
You asked for jobs.
These are positions for your standard 'ancient French literature' major.
