Here another way the poor got screwed in the new tax deal......went to our financial planners office yesterday (thanx Hodges fund..up over 20%) I was going to put another $2k in Pedro's College Fund 529 deal. But the libs now linit that to $500 dollars. Now a 2k write off isn't that much for someone making over 450k but to families making under a 100k thats a big deal. so now poor kids will have to boorow from the lib govt student loan program...cause there is no incentive for their parents to save..WAY TO GO LIBS..

I also agree that Social Security is not an entitlement.

Social Security has nothing to do with balancing the budget or lowering the deficit.
When Social Security needs to start cashing in its holdings of Treasury securities to meet its benefit obligations, the federal government will have to increase its borrowing from the public, or raise taxes or spend less. That will be a concern for the Treasury — but not for Social Security, as long as the SOLVENCY of the federal government itself is not called into question. Social Security will be able to sell its bonds just as any private investor might do.

Every time I see one of your posts and think you couldn't get any dumber, you still find a way to raise (or lower) the bar.

That was the case when Reagan was president, he raised the SS tax to be sure that it was self funding.
