Political: Multiple Choice: Will House Republicans crater the "DEAL" because---

A) They hate Obama more than they love life itself.
B) It raises taxes on struggling middle class families making 450,000/yr
C) They hate being told what to do by uppity Senators
D) It (sort of) raises the estate taxes on struggling middle class families making 4-450,000/yr
E) It extends unemployment benefits and other goodies for the lazy irresponsible 47%
F) All of the above
by That's funny! January 1, 2013 11:01 AM

How about:

G) Because it doesn't include enough in cuts.

Where's the balance you talk about. All taxes, and very little in cuts.

You are such a useful idiot that it is sad to watch. All of them, Democrat, Republican, Senate, Congress and the President are useless. They have the balls to ask for more money with no shame. All of them should be fired. They have about 2.5 trillion to work with and can't manage to run the place with that? They should be embarrassed. The problem is they (both Republican & Democrat) have enough useful idiots like you who just fall in line and don't question how they spend.
by ConservativeMe January 1, 2013 11:26 AM

They already have their cuts. If you've been paying attention the "cuts" and tax increases were deemed a fiscal cliff.
For Republicans and many Dems---they wern't the "right kind" of cuts. Too many cuts from the war budget.

Obama should be ashamed of himself for negotiating on taxes. He won an election wherein the majority of Americans agreed with him about taxing those over 250,000.

Personally I don't have a problem with 450. But his caving should have been part of a larger, more comprehensive deal.

Now we'll watch Republicans move on to the debt ceiling where they once again will make jackasses out of themselves while holding the American and global economy hostage to their utter stupidity. Dems may be even dumber for giving them another opportunity to do it.

Yes, they are all a disgrace.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!

From the guy who will NEVER EVER see 450.

Ancho, you claim to be SO intelligent. PLEASE for one second try to look at it from my side of the table. I just hired another 7 peeps last month. Looking to expand office space as I type, but not sure how to proceed because of the IDIOTS in Washington. I have paid over 110k in Federal (PERSONAL) income tax this year (2012)and I am PISSED at BOTH sides of the aisle. Ancho, have you ever even earned over 100k in your LIFE? Probably not, but I am sure you are sucking at the teat that I and other hard workers provide for you, so you're welcome.

You are a complete jackoff with NO real world experience. A typical liberal elitist that LOVES to tell me how it should be, but can't back it up with ANY examples of his own success. Only failures.

Ancho,

You are right that Obama (and the rest of them) should be ashamed. But not for caving for the amount of tax increases or at what income bracket they begin. They should be ashamed that they are too incompetent (all of them in both parties, not just Barry) to make it work with 2.5 trillion.

People like you need to stop being their little useful idiot and applauding their efforts to punish the high earners. You are so fixated on getting those rich bastards that you are not holding these idiots accountable. Problem is, that's what they all count on.

Stop empowering their bad behavior and start asking what the hell are you doing with the money you already collect.

TheKyle: You call employees "peeps" and you wait for "idiots" in DC to determine your next business move/fate?
And you want to claim you are savvy enough to run a business?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Call Soros, Rogers, Adleson, Mittens, Buffet or any other successful business guy and ask them if they wait for "idiots" to plot their business strategy for them.

Good luck! And let us know what you find out.
by That's funny! January 1, 2013 12:25 PM

This whole thing is a fucking joke. These were supposed to be temporary tax cuts anyway. Let them expire.

What's getting ignored are all the tax hikes taking effect this year due to BroBama Care.

Wanna discuss that ancho?

Moron.

by Hey everyone, look at me! January 1, 2013 1:31 PM

TF. You're a tool. The obvious HUGE problem that must be dealt with is entitlement reform and invigorating our sleep walking economy. Our "leader" in the white house has neither the know-how nor the inclination to do either. They'll continue to pat themselves on the back as they arrange deck chairs. Striking a "deal" to avoid the "fiscal cliff" does ZERO to address the 800 lb gorilla in the room. Its a circle jerk.

by Fire for Effect January 1, 2013 1:53 PM

Forget Obama in the White House; he's there for show. Forget the racist bait which the excuse for this thread. Forget what appears to be another kick the can down the road bill asking the House of Representatives to swallow insufficient cuts in the budget. Forget transparency in either the White House or Congress as it does not exist. Once again it is prudent, for now, to jam the close pin on the nose to shove the onerous bill through and then wage war on entitlements. The 800 lb gorilla is in the room because we allow it to stay. It's more than time to embrace immigrants who want to excel and leave free loaders behind. It's time for the liberals to be careful what they proclaim they want. Whether the House of Representatives can the bill, which is fine with me, or pass it the chaos caused by these so called "progessives" may well bring matters to such a point their bills and laws collapse under their own weight.

And you want to claim you are savvy enough to run a business?

haha More petulence as usual. I challenge you to think outside of your liberal vacuum and all you can do is scream about my shortcomings as a job provider. How many jobs have you created this year?

Enjoy Mom's basement loser.

15 billion in spending cuts. Thats real progressive now isn't it Anchofunny??

So are you happy your side won while we kicked the can down the road?? Lots of economists are saying we are still not tackling the issue with a reao bipartisan proposal.

But hey your side won so that is all that matters right Anchofunny?? That is all MSNBC was touting about 11 last night.

TF: How much debt is too much? What do we do when we reach that point?

Buyside,

Ancho's answer would be, "too much is when you can't borrow anymore". I'm sure his personal life style does not deviate much from his political style.
