Net branch with FSB charter

I know First National Bank has/had a net branch program. I can't find anything when I google them. Any other net branches with FSB charters?

I know I may get some flack over this reqiest but I truly need a national licensed company quick and without the loan officer licensing requirements. There was some legislation on disqualifying operating subsids of FSBs from state licensing....any updates on that?

Many thanks!

Don´t know about any updates on FSB subsidiaries losing their licensing exemptions, but I do represent a bank with a net branch subsidiary. You can originate in any state you want with us except Maryland where everybody has to have a license. We are also NOT in SD and RI. Otherwise, every other state is open for business. If you would like more information, email me at fbrecruiter@aol.com and I will be happy to send you what we have.

Colorado Fed is one of the FEW I have checked out like. Everything about them is above board.

Watch out for recruiters---they are PAID to bring you in. Many get a part or all of the monthly fee, if any.

On the bright side:

It looks like FED Charter Opportunities could be opening up a whole lot in 2007. I am dealing with a number of net branch providers, at least 2 of them are in the process of becoming federally chartered with expectations that this will be complete by the end of the 1st quarter of 2007.
A 3rd mortgage Company I deal with is looking into going with a federally chartered net branch program.
Another one is in the process of regrouping their current federal chartered branch opportunity.

On the darkside:

I have talked to a number of people who have been involved with federal charters in the past year and had nightmare stories to tell about the rug being pulled out from under them after they invested a lot of time, energy, and last but not least money!

So while there are some grand opportunies in this area, I feel none are without risk.

Please feel free to give me a call Bob 630-724-1470

I represent Ovation7 and we are currently assisting a large, well capitalized federally chartered FSB expand its retail mortgage platform. This platform allows for qualified, productive broker owners to convert their business into a true retail lending branch. Technology is top notch, pricing is very aggressive. They are a full service lender and provide all of the core product and necessary underwriting for most of the products a branch will need--Conventional Freddie and Fannie, FHA, VA, even USDA. Outside brokering is still allowed, with approval from corporate (many necessary lenders are already set up and ready for brokering with them), including reverse mortgage lending. Ancillary business ownership and operation is allowed (title, real estate sales, etc.)

You must have a brick and mortar office, non-residential, and a reasonable amount of production for your market to be eligible. With all of the hassles and blockades that have been established for TPO business strategies and mortgage broker owners, now is the perfect time to consider converting your office into a retail bank platform. Please contact me at jbroihier@ovation7.com for more info.

I live in California. I have been in the mortgage business over 15 years and I want to start a net branch, but there are too many to choose from.
I want to be able to use a dba, be able to lend in New York, and have access to "niche" products that are available, such as "no flip requirements" "recently listed properties, ok to refinance", "Alternate credit accepted", "FHA fico's to 600", "up to 10 financed properties".
and most importatnt a reputable, solid company.
Does this exist?
Thank you.
